There is no small or large support; each one is crucial in building a society where we care for each other.
Stand by children with cancer, support the campaign “It’s not boxing, it’s a Bike!”
Marko Nikolić, a professional boxer, and a great philanthropist and friend, set out with his friends Srđan Veličković and Mladen Mladenović on a bike adventure from Belgrade to Ostrog on August 13, 2023, starting at 9 a.m. from the Temple of Saint John Vladimir-Medak.
The goal of the adventure is to highlight the constant need for support for children with cancer through cycling.
The funds raised will be directed towards the Parent’s Corner and the project “Let my hair be your hair.”
The Parent’s Corner is a place for the free stay of children with parents who come for treatment and live outside Belgrade. Staying in the Parent’s Corner allows families to focus entirely on the child’s treatment without worrying about accommodation and finances. In the past four years, eighty-five children with parents have stayed in the corner, providing them with all the conditions for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
The project “Let my hair be your hair” is designed to make wigs from natural, donated hair for children who lose their hair due to medical treatment. Wigs restore confidence and a sense of identity to children who have lost their hair. Each girl who received a wig left the association with a smile. So far, 67 wigs have been made, and additional funds are needed for the production of the next ones.
You can donate by transferring funds to the association’s account “Always with Children” 265-1610310004281-79, with the reference “It’s not boxing- It’s a Bike!”
You can also send a humanitarian SMS with the text 7175 to 7175, with the message cost being 100 dinars for all three operators, or via PayPal: sadecom@sbb.rs.
Every help is significant and sufficient because no family deserves to lose property, go bankrupt, or be impoverished when a child falls ill.
