On September 2, 2021, the “Always with The Children” Association marked its 30th anniversary with a solemn assembly. The Belgrade City Assembly generously provided us with space to commemorate this milestone.
The 30-year history cannot be encapsulated in a few sentences. The period when the association was founded was turbulent and challenging for society as a whole, especially for children with cancer. People with vision recognized the importance of such an organization, leading to the establishment of “Always with The Children.”
Over these past 30 years, with the help of donors, we have purchased, renovated, and repaired the pediatric oncology department. We have implemented the establishment of the “Parent’s Corner,” as well as projects such as “Let My Hair Be Your Hair,” “Dobrivoje the Rabbit,” and “Santa Claus License.”
We wanted to express our gratitude for participating in the realization of our projects by awarding plaques, with the hope that our collaboration will continue. Plaques were also presented to children who, each in their own way, have continued to be active members of the association after recovering. We are proud of them, and we are pleased that through their dedication, awareness of children with cancer becomes a reality. In total, we awarded 66 plaques to our friends.
Our work continues. We will be there for anyone in need of an ear to listen, a supporting hand, and the heart of a friend.
